Our Tile Roof Restoration Process

At Rainbird Roof Restorations, we follow a comprehensive restoration process designed to improve the appearance, performance, and longevity of your tiled roof. Every roof is carefully prepared, repaired, and protected to ensure a professional, long-lasting result.

Step 1 - Roof Preparation & Debris Removal

Before restoration begins, we remove leaves, dirt, and loose debris from the roof and divert stormwater systems to protect your property and water supply throughout the cleaning process.

Step 2 - Professional Roof Cleaning

Using professional surface-cleaning equipment, we thoroughly clean the roof, tile edges, gutters, and valleys to remove dirt, moss, lichen, algae, and years of built-up contaminants. We then rinse down the roof and surrounding exterior surfaces.

Step 3 - Tile Repairs & Roof Preparation

Damaged tiles are replaced or recut where required. Ridge caps are prepared for repointing, weep holes are reinstated, and the roof is inspected to ensure it is ready for the restoration stage.

Step 4 - Ridge Capping & Roof Security

We professionally repoint ridge capping using a flexible pointing compound and install valley clips where required to improve durability, weather resistance, and long-term roof performance.

Step 5 - 3 Coat Paint System

The roof is finished with our professional 3-coat protection system, consisting of one primer coat and two colour coats. This provides a refreshed appearance, long-lasting protection, and enhanced resistance to Queensland's harsh weather conditions.
